Every face and mannerism David makes
He is my spirit animal. Everything he does is humorous. As a character David goes through a development that you would not expect. Although you shouldn’t like anything about him and his vicious, bitchy personality, there is something very likeable about the character that makes you want to continue watching more and more of what he does.
His fashion sense is something I identify with, millennials seem to be quite separate in their fashion choices. He tends to wear black a lot which makes him come across quite dark just like his clothing He rarely smiles, which is absolutely hilarious because the things he says are often pedantic and outrageous. It’s great writing and great acting combined, much like Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation.
This High Strung Family
The family as a whole has been thrust into a paupers world from being rich and popular. It’s a good premise that you would think might get old really quick, but it doesn’t. The family are made to live in a small town the father foolishly bought as a joke for his son many years ago called ‘Schitt’s Creek’.
They are all people you kind of route for even though they seem like people you would hate. The are the perfect satire for the divide of the rich and poor, a perfect comical comment on the way society functions in the modern world.
Moira’s Wigs and Style
You could say that her style is eccentric, much like her. She is a typical rich mans wife who had become accustomed to the finer things in her life such as her vast wig collection that she has to hang on the walls of the motel room they are made to live in in Schitt’s Creek. I find it exciting to see what else she wears, as it seems that her wardrobe and wig collection are unlimited.
Every Look Made
One of the funniest things about this show is just how sarcastic most of the characters are. This doesn't just include the family too. The residents of Schitt’s creek have the same dead pan humour that makes this show so unique. It’s funny to see the previously rich family conflict with the people in the town they own, something we see mainly through every look they make of pure disgust or confusion. It’s like they are on a different planet and everyone is an alien. Again, this seems to be a commentary on the gap between the rich and the poor in our modern society, told in a humorous way.
