When you look at the goings on of our natural world, despite their hardship now, there is a lot of freedom in nature. Animals run around a chase each other, breath in the fresh clean air and bathe in the sunlight. They laze around doing nothing but trying to survive. It’s a harsh world sometimes but it’s nice to see this beauty in nature.
It is kind of anthropomorphising animals by giving them the same emotions, or rather hoping they have the same emotions. It’s nice though, to think that the animals we see everyday do appreciate the freedom and happiness it brings. A freedom humans would consider a luxury.
Animals are able to go about in their survival without hinderance or destruction. You never see badgers walking around barbed wire fences like little furry security guards because another badger has the wrong shoes on. You never see a squirrel denied access to a tree because they are the wrong colour of fur.
If you compare this with human beings, it’s quite sad. We are constantly hindered in everything we do. There are certain places we can’t go, buildings we can’t enter. We have to pay in one place or show a card for another.
We are so split now it’s ridiculous. To admit that there are still dictatorships existing on our planet in the year 2017 makes me feel sick. How can we create such restrictive systems when nature is naturally wanting us to be free? There is absolutely no justification for it.
This is the restrictive system we have set up as a way to control others. It has got better though. I mean, we don’t restrict access to certain places based on skin colour anymore but race problems are still as rife in the shadows. Humans are still bizarre in how much they seem to group themselves into different sub cultures and groups.
I wonder if racism and bias is something experienced in nature, I bet you it’s not. I strongly think that this is exactly where we have gone wrong and are still going wrong right now as humans. We judge too much, we are all born and raised to be bias and judgmental about other human beings. We are all odd in that way.
When you compare us to how other creatures live on Earth, we really are the oddest of beings. We go to war over money matters and material objects, judge over cosmetic differences and treat each other like we are all against one another.
We are conditioned to live our life artificially which is why humans have lost the ability to realise what destruction they are causing not just to themselves but the innocent animals in nature that are only now starting to feel like they are less free and happy. We are the ones responsible for extinctions and endangerment of other animals, so it’s remarkable that we still think the same way about our planet as we always have done. When are things going to change because I think it’s already too late to say that we can all be free citizens.
We all feel it, the peculiar change in weather, the sense of doom in the air and the overall warming of our planet. We see images every day of the scarred earth. The ice caps melting and images of gaunt looking polar bears. It’s depressing, hard to look at. It’s something we tend to turn away from. Everyone knows it is happening, but there are many reasons why people may choose to not believe that Global warming is doing exactly what it is actually doing in front of our eyes as the days turn colder and… warmer at the same time.
The point of this article is try to get to the bottom of the reasons why people might avoid the whole idea of global warming, and although they may seem far fetched, these things actually happen every day, and if nothing is done about it, that orange man in the most powerful role in the world might continue down the dark path of avoiding and lying when it comes to the subject of global warming.
Many people don’t want to believe it’s happening. It’s a great way of living if you don’t care about other people, much like pretending that everything happening in Syria isn’t happening. It’s the idea of just not caring. To be too scared of what the planet is coming to. We shouldn’t fear global warming because it is NEVER TOO LATE to change the way we live. It’s watching what you consume, making a conscious effort to recycle, appreciating water and caring for nature. Take a tree, plant 3 more. It’s living in happiness, not darkness, fear and greed.
The biggest reason that people choose to say that global warming is fake, money. It’s the root of evil, as the well known phrase dictates. It’s also the root of many people in power being giant idiots. They might also actually just be idiots with stupid hair and an addiction to fatty foods, but they also neglect nature for receptacles of a man made form of trading. It’s pathetic really when you think that old men now would further the extinction of human beings and the planet they live on along with other innocent creatures, for stupid money. Horrible people, stupid foul ideas. They will be the downfall of society, nothing else.
So there we go. All we can say as sane human beings to these people is ‘GLOBAL WARMING EXISTS, FOOLS’ and hope that they come to their sense before it is too late. What a world when this way of thinking actually exists. That’s one thing i would like to go away, you know, like famine, unnatural natural disasters and a world that is dying because of how we treat it!
Donald trump is becoming such a problem that even writing his name seems to bring a certain amount of angst and discomfort. I wish I didn’t have to talk about this man. Sometimes this is exactly what I wish people could do, not talk about this man. He is doing destructive things in a shockingly short amount of time. I simply cannot get my head around the fact he is the president of the united states, and the most powerful man in the world.
This isn’t because I can’t embrace that he had won though. In fact, when he first won I spent a few days questioning whether all the things he said were just a mode to get into power. I thought he wasn’t actually that kind of person or even that evil. This would definitely, for the most part, turn out to be severely and stingingly untrue. He genuinely is a bit of a nut case. Even his supporters can’t deny this. All you need to do is look at his Twitter and realise how much of a selfish narcissistic he is. When he says he has the interest of the American people as a priority, he lies. The only person Donald Trump really cares about is himself.
He has proven this with showing explicitly where his interest lie in his travel ban. If he genuinely wanted to protect his countries border he would go through an in depth analysis of where the real dangers lie. I could tell him him myself that the majority of deaths in his precious America could be cut down by simply banning guns. But then his business and social interests would be affected wouldn’t they? All the dangerous, evil and manipulative people whispering in his ears are getting to him.
He’s starting to get stressed, focusing only on mediocre attacks and basic, petty things like protests (which are free speech, something he has relied on to get into his position of pseudo power) to distract people from the real issues and things he is signing in his stupid executive orders. The white house has now been filled with the biggest plagues to society as a means to ruin the America laid out in the constitution. They are a bunch of spoilt brats who know nothing about improving the country and would rather sit and finance themselves into gluttony and early deaths having spent the countries taxes on unnecessary things like a big stupid wall across the Mexican border than actually do anything to help American.
If you still think the people in positions of power in this government are here to help you and improve your country or planet, you live in a dark hole. I don’t even think they would care if Donald Trump died, I mean… I don’t even think he does anything powerful in this twisted form of government. He is the figure head of a system of hatred that is probably led by Steve Bannon (or Voldemort personified) He is a bigger danger to democracy to any president that has ever been in power, this is a fact.
Over the past few years, there has been a growing fear about travelling to other countries. It may be because of terrorist attacks, LGBTQ rights or policies that don’t adhere to a persons ideals. It continues to be a growing issue because of how media portrays certain places. Im going to theorise something here, but maybe they are exaggerating things for the entertainment value. I’m not saying most of the things they report aren’t true, but when it comes to terrorist attacks and the such, don’t you think they are quite tabloid-ish?
The trouble with doing this though is that it has a knock on effect. If we disagree with what a country believes in and refuse to go to that country, the people who make these policies official or who are the terrible voices of their countries are not the ones who suffer. It is the poor and the economically unstable who suffer. They are the ones who rely on travel and tourism, for people to visit from far away places to buy things. It’s not just always about political factors.
For Example, last October I went to Turkey on a family holiday. As a young gay man, yes i had my reservations about going. You hear on the news about all the atrocities committed against minorities in these countries and it makes you question whether you are going to get hurt or have a really bad time of it when you go. In reality I had a great holiday. No one ever questions anything, especially about your sexuality. The majority of people, I hope, share the belief that should be shared by many to just let people live.
Russia is proving to be problematic too. This is down to Vladimir Putin’s obscured view that homosexuality ‘should not be promoted’. By this he does not mean parading round and handing out leaflets to sign up to the gay agenda. You know, because that really is a thing. I’m being sarcastic if that wasn’t clear enough. He is saying that even posting that you support gay rights on your Facebook account is considered ‘promoting homosexuality’ so any Russian person, gay or not really is going to have a hard time of it because of these new bizarre policies. So if you were looking to have a holiday in Russia, because it’s a beautiful place to go, it would put many people off simply because of their leaders views. There again, Russian people do have a long way to go in order to prove they are LGBTQ friendly. Right now, they are kind of the opposite to that.
We are one human race who is so diverse, to start prejudice because of our differences is to me, so stupid and bigoted. It’s also not right though to avoid a beautiful and incredible holiday to a far away location just because the odd balls high up think they can dictate how a whole country should think. This is 2017, move on.
Thanks to Donald Trump and his hateful rhetoric, we are already beginning to see a world of undesirable hatefulness. It hurts me to see it already happening, like a nightmare is becoming real. I feel nervous when I see news articles with claims of hurtful graffiti, notes, videos of trump supporters spreading awful ideologies, religious apologists and all round dotty individuals with obvious mental health issues.
When we see words used against the most vulnerable of our society, it is easy to get insulted quick, to get mad and lose your mind. It's understandable to loose hope and see it all as a collapse of moral decency. Yet, shouldn't we stay strong? This should all do the exact opposite of what the haters want to to do. They want you to be hurt and give up, then they win. These people are hardly even human anymore, they are some kind of demonic evil that loves to make life hard and unfair for minorities. Yes, words can be powerful, but we decide as a group the meaning. It makes sense that we should maybe change the way we think about the use of these words. The words they use are insulting because they have a meaning that our society deems as insulting. The words themselves will never be able to hurt anyone just being words. so it is the meaning of these words, the implied message and the context in which they are used that we should pay special attention to.
why don't we make these words our own? Take the meaning and flip it on it's head. Give the words a feeling of inclusivity. We should be making the use of these words a civilised thing, not create a sense of acidity when they are used. That only does one thing and that is make the words a powerful weapon for horrible beings to use against us. Basically i'm saying we should never give these people the opportunity to insult us with just words. You may notice that i am not using such words in this article and I do this for an important reason. I want to wait. I need to get this message across first, a statement I think is important. It would not be appropriate to use these words yet, despite what I have said previous, because they are still hurtful to some. So why would i want to use them when I don't actually really need to. Then i guess a powerful way to get the message across would be for me to take charge and use this article to give examples of ways we could practically come together and #TakeBackTheSlurs
The reason to use these words as casually as we can is to take the power of the words away from their users. It makes the insults weak. For example, the use of 'queen' when talking about a gay person is actually seen as a powerful compliment now. I personally would love to be called queen, in the context of being made to feel superior or special in some way. This is also true for me personally in the word 'faggot' because my best friend would call me this in a friendly, supportive way. It may seem shocking to many, but when the words are not intended to be insulting or passive aggressive in any way they work to be more like compliments than insults.
